The
sector operated in 7 districts Goromonzi, Umguza, Bubi, Gokwe North,
Zvishavane, Binga and Mbire. The sector worked with 400000 farmers in
Goromonzi, Umguza and Mbire for market linkages, climate smart agriculture and
produce processing, storage and nutrition. In Gokwe North 3000 farmers were
supported with small grain inputs whilst 8000 farmers are benefitting small

Across all the districts, the sector supports provision of extension services
for farmers. In Zvishavane and Gokwe North 26 schools have been supported with
income generating projects including sewing machines, grain shellers, school
gardening, egg incubators, oil extraction machines, chickens and goats. Across
all the districts village savings and loans schemes are supported.
